Local Student Prepares for College at Age 15

At the age of 15 years old, Clarence Johnson will begin attending Greenville University taking science classes.  He has a bright future as he pursues his dream of becoming a scientist.

Clarence, at 14 years old, was one of two students, scheduled to graduate early, who scored as high as 29 on the ACT in May of 2022. He started his educational journey at Lahr-Well Academy in Edwardsville. Eleven of his twelve years in education were in pursuing his dreams at Lahr-Well Academy.

The Lahr-Well Academy approach is to leverage critical thinking skills as they prepare students with advanced curriculum in science and math. Through the course of the program, students learn the foundation for 6 international languages. They also prepare with strong skills in traditional American History and civics, conventional world history, world geography, economics, religion, and art. Students also learn music history, macro and microeconomics, composition with a focus on essays and public speaking. Technology is a focus with computer keyboarding, programing, web-design, and introductory cybertechnology.

College level courses are used in world literacy classics and world philosophy.
